During mid to late fall, we take a slightly different approach with our lawn winterizer treatment. We cut back on the amount of nitrogen we apply so we don’t encourage growth, which is something we don’t want to do when your lawn is preparing itself to go dormant for the winter. Instead, we focus on increasing the amount of nutrients to its carbohydrate reserves to ensure it has the necessary amount to survive the winter. When spring arrives, your lawn’s root systems are well-equipped to take advantage of our early spring grass fertilizer.

At this time of year, we also apply our pelletized lime treatment. New England’s soil is very acidic, which can harm your lawn if left untreated. Our lime application helps balance out your soil’s PH so your turf can better intake the nutrients we apply. Our winter lawn care program helps prepare your lawn for winter so you don’t have as much to stress about the following spring.
